I joined three of my female Maynard Multimedia Editing Program fellows on a trip to “Egypt” right in downtown Reno as part of my Reno611 adventure.
The Nevada Museum of Art celebrated its 80th anniversary with an Egyptian bazaar outside on the grounds. Inside was the exhibit, To Live Forever: Egyptian Treasures from the Brooklyn Museum.
Costumed actors roamed the bazaar including a young woman with her pet snake. No it wasn’t an asp. It was a white-lipped python.
The beautiful woman with the python draped over her neck drew lots of stares. Some were eager to pet the snake. Others kept their distance.
I guess it’s all a matter of taste.
